Track Your Mileage in Real Time

Being aware of what your ingestion looks like from tank-to-tank is important, but that is really not enough. Being aware of what mileage you're getting in time--having the ability to compare it to everything you got or even 10 minutes ago--is the approach to push. Ecomodding combines the love of adding gadgets and saving money. People with cars made after 1995 have it simple: All you have to do is throw some cash and you are immediately instrumented. For cars, you may have to get your knuckles dirty by installing a vacuum indicator, which measures how hard the engine is working, or research the world of DIY fuel-economy electronics, such as the arduino-based MPGuino. In any event, a conscious mind combined with feedback should get you that 10 percent.

Dashboard Lights

Lights light gauges and the dials at night most are dim and don't last long before requiring replacement. In case the dash fails to glow during the night, a driver can not accurately track his or her speed and fuel sum, thus creating a situation that is dangerous. Replacing these is a project that is simple. Because LED lights last quite a while and give off a light, a few drivers assert that safety improves.

The Automatic Program + Adapter

What it is Automatic's original purpose (for that it kinda sucks) was to assist you to optimize fuel efficiency. However, Automatic 2.0 enables a whole suite of apps to work with your car, mapping and timing your everyday commute to locate the most efficient route, assisting you to decode engine troubles, and providing you access to a lot of different information so you can optimize your driveway.

Just Brake When You Need to

I recently found myself fighting against a 20-mile backup passing through Hartford, Conn.. The traffic was, however, the bunch was speeding up and slowing down. So I did something. When everyone started taking off, I gave myself a 10- or 15-second buffer prior to accelerating and hitting on the gas. By accelerating and leaving space I could see the brake lights ahead before I expended a substantial amount of gas, coasting back up into the car in front of me. My Honda would meet with up with the vehicle without using the brakes, because it started up again when I timed it right. Whilst sitting in traffic, my gas mileage went up to over 70 mpg!

Always Stay Alert on the Road

You have to understand what's happening around you and have the ability to anticipate traffic will play out, to push without brakes or shore toward stops effectively. That means trying to anticipate whether they will, say, turn green and paying attention to the lights on your commute. And, again, always look cars to see if the brake lights are starting to come on in anticipation of a coast.

Light Strips and Strings

Adding lighting to the inside of a car is made easy with light strips and strings. Made out of LED lights, strings and these strips permit for illumination anywhere within the vehicle. Whether placed near the doorway or under the seats to illuminate the ground, strings and LED strips make customizing the interior of a car possible. To get a fun effect, some use a festive feel to be created by them round the holidays.
